This week we’re breaking down another bridal bouquet for you. This bouquet is a moody, romantic, lush, textual, almost whimsical feeling bouquet. Kim wanted something loose, cascading and slightly asymmetrical with a mix of romantic blooms and wispy texture. Her wedding was in a very industrial space and she wanted the flowers to bring in a natural, organic feel. We used the flowers below to achieve this look!
White majolica Spray Rose
Paper White Garden Rose
Pink O’Hara Rose
Koko Loko Garden Rose
Deep Red Snapdragon
We used things like privet berry, plumosa and small snapdragon for fun, whimsical texture. And we mixed that with garden roses like O’Hara and Paper White and Koko Loko for a romantic, lush feel. When we use plumosa we love to leave a few longer, trailing strands of it because it’s so wispy and delicate. That contrasted with the more tightly packed larger blooms is the perfect mix of wild and romantic (kind of our thing!).
In the past year or so we honestly have failen a little out of love with seeded eucalyptus. It’s hard to use because its so heavy and can lay awkwardly in an arrangement. Plus it’s everywhere and not very unique anymore. But we still love to use it for texture sometimes. We usually make the stems really short so that it’s just the seeds and concentrate it certain areas instead of spreading it out.
Thank you guys for hanging out with us! Let us know what other arrangements you want us to break down :)
Love, Josie + Tay
