Hey loves! We are sharing this boho + rustic wedding on the blog today and it’s a DREAM. If we’re being totally honest, it’s one of our favorites ever. Natalie was such a lovely bride to work on these designs with and even though we didn’t meet in person before the wedding, she felt like a friend the whole time. She trusted us 100% with her love of a boho, modern, textural floral vision, set against the backdrop of her more rustic venue. She wanted to offset that rustic feel with the floral so it didn’t end up seeming too country and we were so excited for the challenge!
One of the things that Natalie really wanted was smokebush, which we LOVED. Smokebush is such a fun element to add with romantic flowers like roses and ranunculus because it adds a contrasting texture that doesn’t feel too heavy. I think that it adds a lightness to any arrangement that it’s in. It’s definitely named well!
The other thing that was really important to her was the color palette. She wanted a very brown/warm toned palette with nothing too bright. We go to use brown lisianthus, quicksand roses, smokebush, golden orchid, metallina roses, calcynia, cobra lily and diablo nine bark for the designs (we’ll do a bouquet breakdown for this one soon too!). These florals coupled with lots of macrame and it transformed the rustic ban venue where the wedding was held into a boho dream. Check out all the floral (and sweet love) below + let us know what you think!!
One of the best things about being in the wedding industry is just that…weddings! We love getting to be a part of a day with so much love and joy. Looking through these pictures always makes us emotional because you can see the love between the bride and groom so clearly! And the joy! This is why we do what we do- because of the beauty of love and the commitment that is marriage. It’s so special to us.
