This week we’re breaking down this unique take on a boho bouquet! Bri wanted something that was textural and a mix of boho and more romantic blooms but that also felt a little modern in style! Her venue, Union Pine, is a pretty industrial/modern venue that has a loft feel. They wanted the vibe to feel organic and boho but still keep true to the modern feel of the place. Her colors were burgundy (the red toned burgundy) and neutrals with some soft greys. We used the flowers below:
Copper Football Mum
Paile Pink Dutch Lisianthus
Fall Eucalyptus Parvifolia
Dried Poppy Pod
We used a lot of texutral elements like leucodendron, pepperberry, scabiosa, protea, cobra lily and poppy pods to create a modern boho feel, and smaller romantic flowers like lisianthus, orchid and mums to bring a natural, organic feel. We didn’t use very much greenery- using “non greenery” greens like magnolia with its copper tones, fall nandina and euc for their warm fading reds and golds. We love using non green greenery to create a color palette that makes sense instead of just using greenery as an easy filler to take up space. It can be tempting to rely on it to take up that space, but it’s so much better to be intentional about your choices for foliage!
Thank you guys so much for hanging out with us! Let us know if you like these bouquet breakdowns in the comments or our insta post- we will keep doing them if you do!
